2017 Spring Track Schedule

REGISTRATION & MEET INFORMATION

RSVP to our SPRING Kick Off Dinner on Saturday, 4/22  You don't have to attend church to participate.  Dinner will begin at approx 6pm.  We would like as many people as we can at Mass, but want EVERYONE at Dinner.  Uniforms will be distributed at the Kick Off Dinner.

TRACK MEETS ARE Rain or Shine.

PLEASE CONFIRM YOUR ATHLETE WILL BE PARTICIPATING IN THE ABOVE EVENTS BY THE CUT OFF DATES.

Track meets begin ON TIME! We ask that the team arrives no later than 1 hour prior to the start of the meet in order to check everyone in and have time to warm-up. We will have a Team Tent set-up for check-in and serve as the team headquarters.

Please prepare for a long day;  WATERFood, snacks, WATER, sunscreen, hats, proper clothing, WATER, chairs, etc. WATER, are recommended. A snack stand will be open for those who choose to buy food and drinks, but we don't recommend it as the athletes should eat "smart" food at the meet.  Ask them for a list!  When they are done competing...have at it!

Please be aware of weather forecast in order to prepare accordingly...pray for good weather!

If you do not receive your uniform top at the kick-off dinner, they will be distributed at the meet.  We recommend that the girls wear a tank top underneath.  Please remember to wash them inside out and dry them on low or hang dry. They will be collected at the end of the season. Please wear a solid color (preferably royal blue or black) shorts.

We usually leave it up to the children/parents on deciding which events they would like to participate in. Please remember the following.......

CYO Meets:

  1. Grades K-4: Can participate in any 4 designated events, plus a relay.
  2. Grades 5-8: Can participate in 5 events, plus a relay.
  3. Athletes must choose between the 200m & 400m. They may not run both.
  4. All athletes are permitted to run up an event (ie: a second grader could run with the 3rd-4th 400m if the parent and the coaches think they are prepared to, but then would not be permitted to also run in the 2nd grade 400m.)
Strider meet events vary from meet to meet, please see individual registration links for available events.

I think that's enough!  Don't stress!  Bring questions to practice tomorrow!
